Henthorn’s Surprise

Henthorn's Surprise


  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 tsp Marjoram
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Celery Salt
  • 1 can Mushrooms if desired
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 box Twist or sea shell pasta


  • Prepare the pasta in the traditional manner, and while it is boiling:
  • Brown ground beef breaking into small pieces.
  • Drain grease from frying pan.
  • To the beef add the Marjoram, Oregano, Onion powder, Celery Salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and stir.
  • Add the can of Mushroom soup and 1 can of hot water and stir.
  • Add Kitchen Bouquet until the mixture takes on a brown gravy appearance.
  • (optional) Drain and add mushrooms
  • Combine with cooked pasta and serve.
